From Williamsburg, VA
(30 minutes)
- Take Route 5 West across the Chickahominy River. Continue
3.5 miles to Route 623 (Wilcox Neck Road). There are also brown signs for "Public Boat Landing" and "Wildlife Management Area" to follow from here.
- Turn right on Route 623. Continue for 3.75 miles to Route
621 (Eagles Nest Road).
- Turn right on Route 621. Continue for 2.75 miles and bear left at fork in the road and mailboxes. Eagles Nest's entrance is at the white fences just ahead on the right.
From Richmond, VA
Shortest Route (1 hour):
- Take Interstate 64 East to Exit 205 (Bottoms Bridge/Quinton). Bear right at end of exit ramp onto Route 249/33.
- Turn left at light onto Route 60 (Pocahontas Trail). Proceed 9.6 miles to Providence Forge.
- Turn right at light onto Route 155. Bear left at library, cross railroad tracks and continue for 2 miles to Route 614 (Sturgeon Point Road). There are also brown signs for "Public Boat Landing" and "Wildlife Management Area" to follow from here.
- Turn left onto Route 614. Continue for 3.9 miles to Route 615 (Glebe Lane).
- Turn left onto Route 615. Continue for 5.2 miles. (Note: Route 615 changes into Route 623 (Wilcox Neck Road) at curve in the road.)
- Bear right onto Route 623 ("Blue Heron Restaurant" sign). Continue for 1.2 miles to Route 621 (Eagles Nest Road).
- Turn left on Route 621, continue for 2.75 miles and bear left at fork in the road and mailboxes. Eagles Nest's entrance is at the white fences just ahead on the right.
Historic Route (1 hour 15 minutes):
- Take Interstate 64 East to Interstate 295 South.
- Exit onto Route 5 East to Charles City. Continue 29.5 miles to Route 623 (Wilcox Neck Road). There are also brown signs for "Public Boat Landing" and "Wildlife Management Area" to follow from here.
- Turn left on Route 623. Continue for 3.75 miles to Route
621 (Eagles Nest Road).
- Turn right on Route 621. Continue for 2.75 miles and bear left at fork in the road and mailboxes. Eagles Nest's entrance is at the white fences just ahead on the right.
